Bell tries to remember when she first fell for Cross.

The single moment that her crush began. Even though she never fully realized her love for him until they kissed, her feelings were so deeply rooted. She can’t tell when it started.

When they were three? And they would chase each other on their clumsy little legs. Would speak in their own language. Experience this new world together.

When they were five? And they entered school for the first time together. Nervous but excited. It expanded their little bubbles to so much more.

When they were eight? And they made flashcards together and studied. Did homework together on the floor in her room. Begged his mom for after school snacks, insisting it was fuel.

When they were eleven? And everyone was talking about crushes and soulmates and showing off their powers. Not them though. Was that the first time she truly thought about what life together would be like? Just them.

When they were thirteen? And they started highschool, hand in hand, ready for anything. A few people began meeting their soulmates. But Cross and her spent every moment together. They were looked at weirdly as soulmateless people, but they were at least a pair.

Perhaps it was when they were fifteen? And they had that snow day. A day of pure happiness and snowflakes. No one would come out with her, except Cross. Always Cross.

Maybe there was no beginning of her love for Cross. Maybe it is one of those things that loop and cycle with no start or end. _Infinity. _
