My foot rapidly bounced, much like a rabbit in anticipation, hands tightening around my phone. I once again scanned the busy area yet return to the messages disappointedly. My finger tapped against the side of my phone as I reread the messages. My heart pounding like a drum created a symphony of impatience.

Looking up, I searched the crowd once more expecting nothing, yet two shining lights caught my gaze. My face lit up as I dodged through the people making my way to her. An indescribable feeling coursed through my soul like pure sunshine raining upon it.

The next thing I knew, I was wrapped in warmth as two arms closed in on my waist. The smell of citrus invaded my senses as I buried my face in her neck. My heart soured with delight, flying through the sky. A comforting voice reached my ears and I couldn’t stop the soft smile that spread across my face.

After all the painful teardrops shed through the tormenting space between our worlds, they finally collided once more. A beautiful array of stars happily danced around as the universe once again fell into place.

After all this time, I was finally home.
