The traveling medicine man this morning came to call
So close I was to my demise a way to end it all
He shared ancient wisdom of struggle pain and strife
Challenging times are regular here through out my aging life
I have seen beauty once and again I see but pain
The sun shines bright this morning coming soon more rain
If I am to rise above the sky’s deep sorrow its vibe so cold and gray

The traveling miracle worker
He travels day and night
He brings you hope and peace
He can give you light
He hears your cries and worries
People will say he is a fake
People will continue to judge
But he will be your attorney
He will feed the hungry from scraps
He’ll turn water into wine
He’ll catch every stone tossed
He’ll heal the blind
He understands your burdens
The curse the fallen casts o...
In towns where whispers weave through air,
And cobblestones tell tales of yore,
There roams a man with silvered hair,
With potions, herbs, and folklore galore.
His wagon creaks through dawn's soft glow,
And down the cobblestones of the lands,
Each vial and jar, a world to know,
Behold the traveling medicine man.
He speaks in tongues of ancient roots,
Of healing leaves and honeyed balm,
His hands...
The travelling medicine man.
He travels through time.
People call him a medicine man,
Though he is not one.
He travels through time.
Through time and space,
Doing good for all he encounters.
People call him a medicine man.
After all, that is what he calls himself.
They don't know who he really is.
Though he is not one.
Many forms, many lives;
In fact, I think I know one of them....
the small town where my mama was born
has a Steak ‘n Shake now
a Wal mart
And a Lowe’s
They built a bypass through it
And stocked it with paint by number houses
if you go down Main Street it still feels like the tiny Appalachian town it once was
On the left you’ll see the courthouse where my granny and papaw married
On the right, a furniture store that should’ve gone out of business many...
I hope you know your worth.
If you do
You need to prove your worth.
I love you and who you are
But do you love yourself
And where you are?
Who you are?
What you are?
What you’ve become?
Who you want to become?
Because guess what….
I already love you no matter what you choose, are, believe, etc. ❤️
Goodnight to all....
Just let me slide
Syrupy sweet as fruit wine
Drunk in the woods behind schoolyards
Flying high on
Adderoll bumble buzz in my brain
Zipping, dipping from bud to bud
Sleeping peaceful in
Green Cush meadows
Soft as smoke puffs
Let me wake
Electric nicotine morning jolts
Bolt me to the bedroom floor
Fill my holes
with Zoloft to make it through the day
Trazodone to take me into the night
Prozac...
TW: IMPLIED S3XUAL A$$AULT
Was he a man,
Or a dam-sel
Was he more abstract,
Or Picas-so?
He went places alright.
She saw him all over alright,
As did she,
And she and she and she,
And maybe he?
The man,
He travelled,
But he could never,
Switch that lever,
Make up his mind,
To leave home.
But oh, did he ever did unwind.
Because he brought the remedy,
And spoke WITH the cure,
He drowned...
(Thought I’d share a poem surrounding what it can be like battling mental illness for some.)
Scratching pen to paper
Then lifts his head
“Take this pill” he smiles
“It’ll help escape her”

30mg more
“Promise”
He waves
“You’ll be better than before”
“Crying you said?”
“Take 10 more”
“Paranoid?”
“Afraid?”
“Feeling like you want the blade?”
“Just take some more”
“You’ll hit the floor”
